Crimson Desert Strongbox Puzzles: All Locations and Solutions

Five strongbox puzzles in Hernand manors and the castle. Each needs a unique solve. Wear a mask before taking loot or you will be flagged a thief.

What Are Strongboxes?

Special locked containers in castles and manors. Not normal chests: each has a mechanical or musical puzzle. You need a mask (bandit loot, bounty reward, or Back Alley Shop) to steal the contents safely.

Northern Bluemont Manor

Second-floor strongbox: rotate the owl picture segments using the button sequence below.

West side of Hernand Town. Second floor, enter via window with closed shutters. Rotate four segments into a complete owl.

Button order:

  1. Button 2, press 3 times
  2. Button 3, press 4 times
  3. Button 1, press 3 times
  4. Button 4, press 1 time
  5. Button 1, press 1 time
  6. Button 2, press 1 time

Southern Bluemont Manor

Separate building: exit northern manor through a window, cross the street. Align five pin notches to the wood and mountain painting, test with the button, then raise pins and turn the knob to open.

Hillside Manor

Southeast of Hernand Castle. Climb the wall left of the main door, enter the right window. Strongbox far side of the room. Lower cylinders (not raise). Target look: silver visible, black line level with top of wood, gold inside wood.

Lower each cylinder (left to right): 2, 2, 3, 4, 5 times. Then press the right-hand button and turn it right. If it fails, recheck the black line sits just above the wood.

Lioncrest Manor

Align the girl with fairy wings. Detailed public button sequences may still be added in future guide updates. The ground-floor fireplace here can hold a free gold bar; see the gold bars guide for banking and investment after you loot it.

Hernand Castle

Top of the keep. Clear nobles behind you before opening. Crank the dial to hear the melody, then play on the keys.

Note order: 1 - 7 - 6 - 7 - 3 - 4 - 3
