Full Walkthrough
01 Talk to Turnali
Speak with Turnali inside his smithy. He needs timber for mallet handles and says a blacksmith can't leave his forge. He points you toward the nearby forest and sends you out to get what he needs.
02 Get Fine Timber
Head out of the City of Hernand via the main entrance and find some trees outside. Equip the Logging Axe Turnali provides, aim at a tree, and start chopping. Keep swinging until the tree is reduced in size. Pick up 3 Fine Timbers to advance the objective.
03 Hand Over 3 Pieces of Fine Timber
Return to Turnali with the 3 Fine Timbers. He's relieved he can finally fix his hammer. He gives you a Bekker Shield, Turnali's Smithy Flyer, and Timber x10 as a reward, plus Trust +50, +100 Contribution EXP, and a Medium Bag.
04 Read the Flyer
Open your inventory and read Turnali's Smithy Flyer. It explains how equipment refinement works: bring gear and materials to the smithy to improve its stats.
05 Refine the Bekker
Talk to Turnali again and select the Refinement option. Use the 10 Timbers he gave you to refine the Bekker Shield. The refinement completes, the quest ends, and Rhett's Request unlocks.
Tips and Notes
Turnali provides both the Logging Axe and the Timbers needed for refinement. You don't need to gather anything beyond the 3 Fine Timbers from the forest.
